Saga of the Moon Priestess (PC) review

I've been enjoying myself playing a lot of older games as of late, particularly on stream. So when the dice called up a game that promised to relive the old days of a certain green-clothed elf on his adventures to save a princess, I figured it might just be a fun time fueled by nostalgia... both mine as a child and a new developer. However this one proved more of a warning right from the opening screen. Come on inside: this won't be pretty.

Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (PC) Review

https://redsectorshutdown.blogspot.com/2020/02/darksiders-ii-deathinitive-edition-pc.html

This is not the first time I have played this game. In fact, not only is the first time I played also here on this very site, but it was the first game I ever played on the ill-fated WiiU. And back then, I absolutely loved it, even as I had some serious issues with it on a technical level. But over time looking back, I found myself disappointed with the support the game (and console in general) received. While other platforms had DLC campaigns to extend the game itself, they were never even offered to Nintendo's system.

But then the Humble Bundle came through and suddenly I found myself with not only the PC release, but the "Deathinitive edition" containing technical updates, game balance updates, and most importantly, all three DLC campaigns. Coming back was inevitability.... but was it worth the time?

Darksiders (PS3) Review

Here is a title that has had a rocky past with. When it was on the way, I did not have a PS3 or 360. I did not want either machine. But I was interested in this game. The world drew my attention. But it wasn't enough to get me to get a console.... other games would do that with a PS3 in due time. But when this game hit PC, I HAD to have it. And within 30 minutes of purchase, the game was shelved due to many many glitches, the worse of which made my PC screen black out to show a pallet of shapes in really low resolution and then reset. (It was like an arcade machine that broke.) So finally, I picked it up for the PS3, hoping for a much more stable experience. Well, it was at least stable, but let's get into that as we go.
