The Last Door: Season 2 (PC) Review

It wasn't that long ago we were in this position with the the first part of this title. I still do not know when or why I picked up the first part, but this one was on sale for a deep discount around the time I finished it so it was a no-brainer considering how much I enjoyed it. Now a little over a month later, we have finally reached the end of the story started back then. It's rare I get to a sequel this quickly, but if anything, I would probably recommend playing the two even closer then this. In fact, you should probably play these back-to-back.

Dreaming Sarah (PC) Review

This is a game I picked up on a whim. Curiosity and literally the price of playing an arcade when I was a little kid made this a no-brainer to pick up. Even if I never got around to it, I would literally wasted a single quarter. But the dice called and it drew the interest of several I talk with online, so I sat down and played it. 2 hours later, I put the controller down, done. And I honestly find myself with a lack of words, just cause there is not a lot to talk about.

Cave Story (Wii) Review

Here we have another game I have some history with. Many years ago, I had tried to play Cave Story on the Wii until a specific boss proved exceedingly hard. Looking for help, I found instead that by taking an upgrade to my gun, I had screwed myself out of much more powerful ones later. Annoyed with the very "ha ha gotcha" feel of such a design choice, I quit. But here we are, years later, and giving it another try. And while I certainly can find some good in the game this time, it's only one of the issues that mars what many consider a classic.
